"Golf is deceptively simple...
...and endlessly complicated."
Carefully thought out and lovingly looked after...
With our move into tier 3 restrictions, we're delighted that we're able to keep our golf course open for members and visitors to enjoy. In our current tier, golf can continue to be played in groups of between one and four golfers, from the same or different households.
We invite you to come and play The Deerpark at Tewkesbury Park.
The land on which our golf course was constructed was formerly a deerpark until 1770, when Mary and John Wall built the house which became Tewkesbury Park - so that's how our golf course came to be called The Deerpark.
Designed by the international golf course architect, Frank Pennink, and with recent consultancy advice from both Peter McEvoy – ex England Amateur Champion – and international agronomist John Clarkin, The Deerpark is a 6,554 yard, Par 72 golf course in a stunning parkland setting with panoramic views, water features, cross-cut fairways, mature trees including veteran oaks, and well-drained manicured greens in excellent condition.
The quality of The Deerpark played a large part in Tewkesbury Park's inclusion in two separate Top 100 Golf Resorts in GB & Ireland rankings - from Golf World and National Club Golfer.
So whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, we’ll make sure that you feel right at home. If you’re staying with us, you’re very welcome to have a go on The Acorn - our short academy course.
As the 14th century proverb says, 'Great Oaks from Little Acorns grow'. One of the hallmarks of the land at Tewkesbury Park is the presence of ancient oak trees, and our Acorn course is often used for training and beginners. That's why we called it The Acorn.
If you’d like a few golfing pointers along the way, our resident pro, Mark Fenning would be delighted to help. We can even sort you out some clubs and balls – just pop into our golf boutique.
