It’s competition time!
It’s nearing the end of October, which can only mean that Halloween is just around the corner. At Tewkesbury Park, we take every opportunity to celebrate a special occasion – and that’s why Henry and Josh have rustled up a brand new cocktail recipe for our bar menu.
We wanted to create something a little different, and a little ghoulish. Our new cocktail is a daring mix of Chase Distillery sloe gin, Martini and Campari, creating the perfect balance of sweet berry and bitter flavours. After shaking each in a cocktail mixer, the result is a deep red concoction in a cocktail glass, topped with a bitter orange peel twist.
We’re calling this spooky cocktail ‘Sloe Negroni’ for the minute, but we’re on the hunt for a brand new name – something ghoulish, and utterly Halloween-esque. Consequently, we’ve created a cocktail naming competition, where we’re inviting you to give us your suggestions. There is, of course, a prize for the most innovative, creative name – if you win, you’ll enjoy an afternoon of cake and cocktails with a friend. You’ll have to hurry, though; the competition closes on Wednesday 30th October midnight, so don’t wait to get your suggestions in! Head over to our facebook page to enter.
Whilst this cocktail offers a spooky, alcoholic treat for those who fancy it, we also have an equally delicious non-alcoholic beverage that’s ideal for any time of year. The Sunset is one of our mocktails and offers a solution for those who’d like to try something a little different, but alcohol-free. The Sunset is a mixture of fruit juices (pineapple, orange, and apple), lemon tonic (for that bitter kick!), lime, and grenadine for extra sweetness, and a beautiful gradient effect.
We’d love it if you dropped by to say hello, or try one of our lovingly made cocktails. To find out more about our cocktail bar, please click here.
